HOW IT WORKS
Project Management: Our approach to building experiential learning programs is to facilitate discussions with our clients, follow a project plan to stay on track, and document our decisions. Our Project Manager constructs a customized program featuring formal learning objectives, meaningful work assignments, and performance management expectations. A principal objective of every program is to advance the awareness, understanding, and practice of servant leadership by individuals and organizations. Templates, reference materials, and instructions are provided to help the client implement the program, and regularly scheduled calls are held to ensure the project is completed in advance of the recruiting activity.
Recruiting: Intern Werks recruits students who meet the unique requirements of each client. Details of our process can be found on the STUDENTS page of our website. It’s important that your reasons for hiring an intern are aligned with the Intern Werks program. If you’re simply interested in temporary help or inexpensive labor, we’re probably not the solution you need. But if you’re looking for the next key member of your staff, we’ll find that person for you.
Program Management: We provide resources, instruction, and regularly scheduled check-ins with interns and supervisors during the internship. Daily, weekly, and monthly intern and supervisor activities are identified and scheduled so that learning objectives can be met, and tangible business results can be achieved. Additionally, instruction, coaching, mentoring, and performance management sessions are held to optimize the development of the supervisor and the student.
InternWerks does not offer any legal or financial advice, and does not have any express or implied employment relationships with its interns.
Most of our work is done on a volunteer basis. However, there are some expenses associated with each project. Our fee is only $4,999 per intern, all inclusive. Payment is due in full prior to commencing work on your customized program.
We donate $1,500 from each project to Catholic education initiatives, including K-12 school scholarship and grant programs, and Catholic university alumni club scholarship programs. See our FUNDRAISING page for more details.
According to published research, the average cost-per-hire for on-campus recruiting in 2016 was about $5,400. For less than that amount, you can build a talent pipeline guaranteed to produce results without ever leaving your office. And you can help support Catholic education in your community.
Internships can take place at any time of the year, but some lead time is required to create the program, conduct training, and select the student. So it's best to get begin early to prepare for your intern's arrival. If you are interested in learning more about Intern Werks, or are ready to get started, contact us for a free consultation. We’ll conduct an interview with you to identify business requirements and desired outcomes, and make sure your internship is well-positioned for success.
Our program works only if every participant truly owns it. That means the client’s leadership team, the intern supervisor, and Intern Werks all share the responsibility of achieving success on behalf of the students who have been entrusted to our care.
There are plenty of “how to” guides available for companies who want to hire an intern. Our team helps to turn those ideas into reality by doing the heavy lifting. But that’s not what we’re all about. And we doubt that would be enough for you, either. Our unwavering commitment is to ensure that you and your intern take the employment relationship to the next level. So here’s our promise:
If for any reason you decide not to offer your rising senior student a full-time employment opportunity upon graduation, we will conduct a search for another intern at no charge. And whenever you do convert your intern, there will be no placement fee. Our reward is knowing that another servant leader has joined the workforce.
